Per Wikipedia, "Anamorphosis is a distorted projection or perspective requiring the viewer to occupy a specific vantage point, use special devices or both to view a recognizable image". I have always been interested in visual perception and fascinated by the tricks our brains play on us to make sense of the world through our visual cortex. Using simple shapes and flat colors, we created two sculptures bearing anamorphic designs. The resulting images show the sculptures intact and dissasembled, thereby revealing the mechanics of the illusion.
