A series of photographs featuring sexual fetishes in abstracted environments. With this work, we were interested in exploring how identity is performed through sexuality, while aiming to normalize what is often perceived as marginal behavior. We intentionally chose colors that conjured flesh tones, but were also pretty and soothing, to differ from the typically garrish palettes of pornographic imagery. The models' bodies are reflected in mirrors placed on the set, a duplication signaling role-playing and performance. The sparse props- household objects- strike a contrast with the reflected bodies, and lend the subject matter a feeling of banality.
